Grain storage

Eurograin has over 50 years of experience in the design and construction of square silos of all sizes, "sheet pile" type.

Case studies

What is a sheet pile silo?

A sheet pile silo is a modular silo whose walls are made up of "sheet pile" panels or profiles (see illustration below) assembled vertically between structural sections to form rectangular or square storage cells, mainly used for cereals and more generally for all granular or powdery products. This type of silo is characterized by construction compactness that allows - for an equivalent footprint - storing up to 30% additional capacity compared to round silos, while limiting earthwork and civil engineering.

Eurograin silos

The design of Eurograin silos allows for a significant simplification of diagrams, which translates into a reduction in the number of conveyors and elevators necessary for their optimal operation. The construction method of our silos also allows for the integration of all handling equipment inside the buildings - which naturally protects the equipment from external elements and makes it a choice solution, particularly in aggressive environments (seaside or corrosive industrial atmospheres, for example). All this contributes to significantly reducing both the overall investment cost and the operating costs of our silos.

Our expertise

Eurograin's history and experience have provided it with remarkable know-how in silo design and construction. This makes Eurograin's technical offer relevant for collection silos as well as for silos integrated into complex industrial sites or very large capacity port silos.
